An investigation inside the home of Judge Jonathan Corwin produced unexplained audio anomalies and a remarkable photograph.

The Witch House in Salem — the home of Judge Jonathan Corwin, who presided over the 1692 witch trials — was investigated by our team on May 25th. The house, the only structure still standing with direct ties to the trials, has been reported as active for decades.

In the judge's study, at 11:10 PM, our audio equipment captured a series of unexplained sounds: heavy footsteps crossing the room, the sound of a chair being dragged, and what appears to be pages turning in a book. No physical cause was found for any of these sounds.

A photograph taken at 11:14 PM shows an unexplained mist in the corner of the room that was not visible to the naked eye. The photograph was taken with a full-spectrum camera, and the anomaly does not appear on a simultaneous standard photograph.

This investigation coincided with our Salem tour launch and the findings have been incorporated into our immersive experience at the Witch House.
