The massive Opryland Hotel complex is rarely considered a paranormal destination — until guests start seeing things in the corridors at 3 AM. We went to find out why.

The Gaylord Opryland Resort encompasses over 9 acres under glass and has hosted millions of guests since opening in 1977. Less publicized are the dozens of reported encounters logged by staff and guests — apparitions in the garden atriums, unexplained sounds in the older wings, and at least three documented incidents of guests being touched by unseen hands.

Our investigation focused on the Magnolia wing — the oldest section of the property — and two specific corridors where staff reports cluster. EMF readings in the 4th floor corridor were consistently elevated with no identifiable source from wiring or HVAC systems.

At 2:30 AM in the Magnolia atrium, our full-spectrum camera captured a tall, dark figure standing near the fountain for approximately 3 seconds. A security guard on duty confirmed seeing something in the same location 20 minutes prior and had no explanation.

Audio analysis from the overnight produced two EVPs: a woman's voice in the upper corridor and what sounds like a child calling out in the atrium garden. The hotel's history of the land predates its construction — the site sits near historical waterways that served Nashville's earliest settlers.
