The Kehoe House: Voices in the Walls

Built in 1892 for the Kehoe family, this inn harbors the lingering energy of children who never left — and our equipment picked up every trace.
The Kehoe House is a Renaissance Revival mansion that has operated as a bed and breakfast for decades, but its reputation as one of Savannah's most haunted properties long precedes its hospitality era. The Kehoe family lost several children to illness within the home, and their presence is allegedly still felt by guests and staff alike.
Our investigation focused on the upper guest rooms and the twin chimneys — areas where guests most frequently report hearing children's laughter and small footsteps. Within 30 minutes of setting up, our audio anomaly detector triggered twice in Room 7 with no one present.
A spirit box session at midnight produced several responses that seemed contextually relevant, including what sounded like a child's name and the word 'play.' One investigator experienced a sudden onset of nausea near the northeast corner of the second floor hallway — an area we later flagged as having sustained elevated EMF.
